The writings speak to issues of human dignity, identity, reconciliation, (in)justice and belonging through the lense of these young people. The event hosted by IJR’s Youth Identity project (YIP) is a culmination of two years’ dialoguing, relationship building, and skills capacitation between the YIP and the young people from Vryburg and Free State who participated in earlier processes. The intention for this meeting is to explore ways in which young people who were born after Apartheid can work towards the re-building and restoration of their personal and collective human dignity.
