Nivrata is a Project Officer in the Peacebuilding Interventions Programme. In this capacity, she spearheads the International Justice and Survivor-Centered Justice Project. Nivrata also contributes towards developing the Pan-African Reconciliation Network and the IJR Transitional Justice Fellowship Programme . She is an Andrew W. Mellon Foundation Fellow in the Programme of the Study on the Humanities in Africa (Centre for Humanities Research, UWC). She holds a Masters Degree (cum laude) from the University of the Western Cape and from International Institute for Social Studies, Erasmus University of Rotterdam (The Hague, Netherlands). Nivrata works on postcolonial citizenship, political violence, Great Lakes Region, international and survivor-centered justice and regional reconciliation.
