Kelly-Jo Bluen

Kelly-Jo Bluen is the project leader for international justice at the Institute for Justice and Reconciliation where she runs projects on the geopolitics of international justice and justice for conflict-related sexual and gender-based violence and works on various issues pertaining to the politics and practices of justice including, AU-ICC relations, broader notions of justice, and the role of commissions of inquiry in accountability processes. She holds a double Master’s degree in international affairs from the London School of Economics and Peking University, and an Honours degree in international relations from the University of Cape Town. She writes for different policy and media platforms and, until recently, she wrote a regular column for South African daily, Business day.
