Renee Choto

Renee Choto is a specialist in financial management for civil society organisations and has over 12 years experience working with various NGOs in building capacity and strengthening their financial systems. Upholding high standards of integrity, especially as stewards of donor funds, is a key guiding principle for Renee. Before working with civil society, Renee gained extensive experience as a tax professional in Zimbabwe after which she went on to start her own business offering tax advisory/planning, company secretarial and accounting services.  Renee is an associate member of the Chartered Secretaries Southern Africa and holds an MSc in Strategic Management from Derbyshire University, UK. She is currently studying towards a second Masters Degree in Development Finance at Stellenbosch Business School. Renee oversees organisational governance, compliance, audits and all finance operations at IJR.
