Community Healing Participants Training Manual
Date of publication: 2009
The Community Healing Training Course Manual was developed in 2008 out of a need to build capacity to deepen and sustain the use of dialogue as a means to rebuild social relations after conflict in communities. It begins by outlining the basic concepts of community healing as an off-shoot of Transitional Justice initiatives after violent national conflict. This if then followed by structured training on ways of acknowledging the past, promoting cohesion in groups and sustaining dialogue. The manual then ends with useful steps to building community healing programmes in communities. the manual, though out of print, is available electronically in English and Afrikaans.
