The purpose of the research is to explore African perceptions by conducting expert surveys in order to generate original data on:

1. The participation and engagement of the African continent and countries in global governance systems and institutions;
2. African perspectives on the functionality, effectiveness and inclusivity of these systems and institutions at present; and

Prospects, opportunities and challenges for reshaping governance systems and institutions, within a new emerging multipolar global order.
