Mikhail’s project is the South African Reconciliation Barometer (SARB), a public opinion survey on reconciliation, social cohesion and political culture conducted by IJR. He is responsible for project management and disseminating the findings of the survey.

Mikhail holds a Master’s degree in Development Studies from the Institute of Development Studies, University of Sussex as a Chevening Scholar. He also holds Bachelor of Social Science and Honours degrees in Politics from the University of Cape Town.
